* Not to be confused - we're actually located in the Vallée du Loir, in the Sarthe (72) departement, which is in the region Pays-de-La-Loire.

Whereas the Vallée de la Loire (the Loire Valley - its bigger, more famous and touristy cousin) is a bit  further to the south.

We are situated in the Vallée du Loir, just north of the more touristy Loire Valley* and everything that has to offer from the chateaux, pretty towns and villages, renowned wine, and of course the unique river, a UNESCO world heritage site.

It's a great location because we are easily accessible from the north (the ports, Normandy, Brittany etc,) as well as having the aforementioned Loire Valley on our doorstep.

We're 3km from our local village Lhomme which has a great boulangerie and butchers as well as grocers. Lhomme is the proud capital of the local wine, Jasnieres, and has a small musée to celebrate the fact!

La Chartre-sur-le-Loir is 5km away and is a lovely vibrant village with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants to enjoy. It is a favourite destination for the Le Mans 24 Hour race events where enthusiasts gather with their beautiful cars on the place in front of the Hôtel de France.

Le Mans is 40 minutes to the north making La Petite Grange an ideal place to stay for any of the 24 Hour and other motor sport events. Tours is 40 minutes to the south, and Vendome is an equal distance to the east - we're stuck in the middle of them. Which is nice. Options galore.

If you're travelling further south or to the Atlantic coast we're very much on your way, being just a short hop from the A28.
